WARNING: When you're installing WP on Dreamhost, they will ask you if you'd like to install the WP Website Builder (there will be a checkmark already checked) please uncheck that checkmark so that it remains a clean installation of WordPress. If you do not do this, you will need to deactivate the default the BoldGrid theme and plugins before you can move forward.

How to delete the BoldGrid theme + plugins: You would go to Dashboard > Plugins > Installed Plugins. Please DEACTIVATE and then DELETE every plugin that has BoldGrid in the title. You may then proceed with installing the Launch It theme and continue with the course.
